Bing9907.zip contains an EZNEC antenna description file (.ez) and a .tif image of the radiation pattern plotted by EZNEC2 for the antenna described. The antenna and pattern are taken from Dr Grant Bingeman's (KM5KG) article "Center-Loaded Whip Antenna Loss," in QEX (July/August 1999, pp 17-19).

The EZNEC and EZNEC 2 antenna modeling programs were written by Roy Lewallen, W7EL. The .ez files have no value unless you use those programs or another that can read their files. (I don't know if one exists.) The files are supplied so that readers who want to duplicate or extend the author's work may do so. EZNEC is the modeling program we at HQ use. Roy sells the programs by mail order. Look for his ad in recent QST magazines (also published by ARRL) or search the Web for "EZNEC" to find his site.
