0403RF.zip contains files pertaining to "RF: Generating a 1296 MHz Signal," by Zack Lau, W1VT (QEX, Mar/Apr 2004, pp 56-60). At the time this was posted, the author's e-mail was mailto:zlau@arrl.org.

The files you have downloaded are PDFs of board etching patterns. They include a mirror image of the board. This allows easy fabrication using "iron on" photocopy techniques that work best if you have a mirror image. You can go straight from the magazine to the desired transfer material. If possible, find a photocopier that will let you zoom the size in 1% increments, so you can match the size of the 1-inch scale accurately. Mirror imaging isn't a problem with the multiplier--it may be a problem with the mixer. I've not tested whether mounting the mixer on the ground plane and bringing the leads through the board has any significant effect on performance.--W1VT
